haven’t written anything for a while as I’ve been so consumed with the show…what a relief its all over! The private view was a great success, with many turning out to support us. Thank-you all! I am now conscious of the fact that its late October and the MA deadlines are looming. I really want some new work for my portfolio and am keen to develop my drawing as an integral part of the process of creating a painting. Whilst I still wish to develop my ideas connected with memory, nostalgia, narrative and story-telling, I want my drawings of the ephemera I associate with these anecdotes to come from life. The idea is that I will draw everyday, from life, to add a richness to the development of future paintings…here is work I have done over past few days…
